I’m so grateful to be the voice of Otis the otter in season 6 of Why Am I? on Citytv. Getting 6 seasons on a television series is not easy, whether it’s a young children’s animated series like Why Am I or an epic science fiction series.
It takes dedication and optimism which my costar Dawn Bird has in her wonderful performance as Lily the bison.
The thing about voice acting in an animated series is we all record separately. None of us are in the room at the same time, yet, when it all comes together, you can feel the characters reacting to each other. Our conversations feel real.
On the show we help our animal friends solve mysteries and discover that friendship is the most important thing we have.
Our creator, writer and director Adrian Dean and Andrea Carlson continue to inspire with their story ideas and songs. And the amazing cast of animal friends have made this adventure so much fun!
